Italian Benevolent Society est.1881
The Italian Benevolent Society is the oldest independent Italian Society in the United States. Established in 1881 as a charitable institution for the aid of
families of Italian Miners. These miners worked the Gold Mines of Amador County. The Society provided death benefits to those killed in the mines. As
time went on it became a social and comunity based organization. The Society has been in operation for the past 130 years. For all those years the
Society has hosted an annual Picnic and Parade on the first Sundays weekend in June. We host a Carnival and Prade open to the public.
The Society is located on 20+ acres in Sutter Creek CA. Our hall has 8500 sq ft. of party space, with full comercial kitchen, wet bar and 3 acres of parking.
Our street address is 581 Hwy. 49 Sutter Creek Ca.
